Steps to activate your Q Link Wireless SIM Card

There will be a SIM Card Kit sent to you in the mail, which includes your upgraded SIM Card, your ejector tool, as well as detailed instructions that will guide you through the activation of your new SIM Card and move onto our new network as smoothly as possible.

Insert your SIM Card

There is everything you need including in the SIM Card Kit in order to install your new SIM Card.

There is usually a SIM card underneath the back cover of your phone, or it can be found in a tray on the side or top panel of your phone. To remove your current SIM card from your phone, you will need to use the SIM Card Ejector tool included in your SIM Kit.

In order to fit your SIM card into the tray of your phone, make sure that you choose the right size. The SIM card must be inserted into your phone’s SIM slot, the tray must be closed, and the phone must be turned on after you have done so.

Configure your data with these Access Point Name (APN) Settings

  1. Go to Settings and locate Wi-Fi & Mobile Data & make sure both are turned ON.
  2. Tap Mobile Networks.
  3. Tap Access Point Names (APN).
  4. Tap New APN or the + sign.
  5. Carefully enter the settings as shown in the fields below:
    • APN: Qlink
    • MMSC: http://wholesale.mmsmvno.com/mms/wapenc
    • MCC: 310
    • MNC: 240
    • APN Type: default,supl,mms
    • APN Protocol: Select > IPv4/IPv6
  6. Tap Menu or tap the More Options icon
  7. Click Save
  8. Select QLink Wireless under Access Point Names (APN).
  9. Restart your phone, open your browser, and start using your data.

Reset your network

The first thing you will need to do in order to reset your network is to go into the settings of your phone.

In the Android Operating System, you can go to Settings & tap Reset or Network Settings. Follow the prompts on the screen as you tap Network Reset.

You can do this on your iPhone by going to Settings, and then tapping General. In the Reset menu, select Tap Network Reset Settings and then scroll down and tap Reset. To reset your iPhone, you will need to enter your iPhone password and confirm the reset.

Transfer your phone number

How should I prepare to port my number?

You will need to keep your current number active, make sure that you haven’t initiated any existing ports with your current carrier, make sure that your phone is unlocked, and make sure you don’t have any outstanding balances with your current carrier.

Can I keep my temporary number?

As long as you follow our easy port-in instructions, you can keep the temporary number associated with your new SIM Card or transfer your existing number to your new SIM card to stay more easily connected to your friends and family. If you want to keep your temporary number, feel free to do so, or transfer your existing number to your new SIM Card.

Download the App

Download the My Mobile Account App from the Android Google Play Store or the iPhone App Store and follow the prompts in the app to manage your account. Next, you will need to log in using the phone number associated with your Q Link account. As an alternative to logging into your account, you can also manage it at qlinkwireless.com/login.

If you don’t know your Q Link phone number, you can find it in your phone settings.

Locate Settings > Tap About Phone or About Device > Status > Select My Phone Number

Go to Contacts > Select My Card

How do I log into my Q Link Wireless account?

If you would like to access your My Q Link account, please visit www.qlinkwireless.com/members and enter your username and password to access your account. You will be able to access the following features from your member’s area:

  • Upload proof documents
  • Check the status of an order
  • Learn about your plan’s features
  • See your phone manual
  • View your usage
  • Add more minutes
  • Change your password
  • Recertify your service

There is no way to log in to My Q Link if cookies are disabled, so make sure that cookies are enabled before you try to log in. We recommend that you first check your account’s cookies to make sure they are enabled if you are experiencing problems logging in.
